Dust suppression at Ports

WLP designs and manufactures fine dust and odour suppression systems for ports that have the aim to eliminate the fine dust which is released during port activities and which can cause damage to staff and workers. WLP system is based on the atomization in the area thanks to the use of dust suppression atomized misting equipment which makes dust fall and deposit to the ground, and then itwill not be released again due to the effect of the atomization.

Ports are the most important trading posts in the world. Every day thousands of tons of goods are shipped through sea routes.

The bulk materials have the disadvantage of producing a big amount of dust during its handling in addition to using a large part of the port surface.

In particular, the handling of coke may cause annoyances to the population living close to the port due to the dust release in the air and, from the financial point of view, a loss may occur because the wind makes tons of precious material fly away every year.

Thanks to the know-how and to its team of technicians WLP can also offer the design of completely automatic plants with the aim of completing the production cycle with the suppression systems.The Software WERPICO has been developed by WLP and can be integrated with the SCADA which are possibly present in the port, ensuring a very efficient use of the dust suppression systems.
